Hello Friends of Donich Cottage,

Well we have had a busy early year which has been fabulous.

The last few weeks we have seen really sunny weather with the holiday makers making use of all the facilities.

The house is now free for 2 weeks and Bob the Builder (eh I mean Ronnie the husband) is starting work on the extension upstairs which will afford the new shower room to serve upstairs bedrooms. Alongside the sofa bed in the lounge this house can now cater for 8 people.

He is also planning to mono bloc the front drive which means you can take your car right up to the house and unload your luggage/shopping. This also negates the parking problem which can be found in the street.

Ill keep you all posted with photos of the finished product. We have lots of bookings for the summer but still have vacancies so please get in touch if you are considering a break in lovely Lochgoilhead.

Hello Visitors,

Welcome to my first blog.

We have had a busy first summer at Donich Cottage and all visitors appear to have had a great time and all say they would love to return which is great for Ronnie and I as it means we are on the right track.

We have had our planning permission granted and Ronnie plans to add a toilet/shower room upstairs which will facilitate the upstairs bedrooms.

We are also planning to build a conservatory to the back off the patio doors in the dining room which will afford more space and allow the visitor to enjoy the view to the hills.

The weather has been interfering to all with burst pipes galore and many holidaymakers disappointed at Christmas. We too had a burst pipe (despite leaving the heating on) Anyway Ronnie to the rescue and we managed to get it fixed on the 26th December in time for our New Year visitors.

We have bookings already for 2011 but man more places available.

Remember folks if you are a returning visitor we give you 10% discount so get booking.
